Vic and Patsy Franek got into the restaurant business in Houston back in 1998. In 2010 they left big city life behind for Port Lavaca, opening Texas Traditions Grill & Bakery. After 21 years running two successful businesses, they passed the reins to their son Marty and his wife Crystal, who added a fully-stocked bar and renamed the venue Texas Traditions Grill & Bar.

“We wanted down home country cooking and this place did not disappoint. It's so good we went back the next night. All food entrees were excellent, reasonably priced, and the service was great. We especially loved the ribeye beef tips over rice daily special. It has a Texas decor and country feel, with large wooden tables and chairs. Highly recommended.”
