Our story

Texas Traditions Grill & Bar has been family owned by the Franek family since 2010. Vic and Patsy got into the restaurant business in Houston, Texas, back in 1998, serving up hearty homestyle cooking and sweet treats. 
In 2010, the two looked to escape big city life and found themselves in Port Lavaca, where they opened up Texas Traditions Grill & Bakery.

     Running two successful businesses over the course of 21 years, Vic and Patsy thought it time to pass on the reins to their son Marty and his wife Crystal. Incorporating a fully-stocked bar into the mix, the two renamed the venue Texas Traditions Grill & Bar, and have built on the vision started by Marty’s parents.

     Today, just as it did more than a decade ago, the Texas Traditions serves up amazing homestyle cooking, delicious desserts, along with a cold one to wash it all down, and all in the heart of Port Lavaca.
